Grades 2 - 5
This program really ROCKS! The Earth is an amazing place. Explore
some of its most interesting rocks and minerals. By observing and
handling a specimen of mica, students will identify its different
properties. Watch in amazement as the “Simply Scientist” helps
students split open a geode to reveal the crystal formations within.
Participants will take home a sample of dolomite, also known as
“Popcorn Rock,” to study and watch its crystals grow.
